baseball and the beach.

Our 2nd full day was spent watching baseball, going to the beach and out for some ice cream! We were really hoping to catch a spring training game since there are a few different teams who practice just miles away from my parent's house. But games started the day after we were leaving town. So, instead we visited the practice facility for the Toronto Blue Jays and watched some batting practice. Carter was even lucky enough to get a foul ball! And, of course, Simon was in heaven. He sat perfectly still the entire time, quietly watching every player take their pitch and hit the ball. I love how much he loves this sport!

Then it was off to the beach! We went to Honeymoon Island and it was a beautiful day. The kids splashed in the waves, built sand castles and searched for sea shells for hours.

9 years ago when Matt, a baby Carter and I visited my grandpa we found this local ice cream shop with the best flavors of ice cream. So, I couldn't wait to take the kids back for an afternoon treat. It was so good we went back later in the week so Simon and I could get one more taste!

And then the evening was spent back at the pool, more golf cart rides and a family walk. Another great day!
