day 2 of spring break 2018.

>> April 15, 2018

Day 2 was wet, wet, wet. Thank goodness we had plenty to do to stay busy and relax! The kids started off in the secret room. (remember how I said our house had everything!). The owners had converted the under the stairs closet into a kids play room right off the kitchen and it was the perfect little play space when the kids didn't want to be upstairs in the game room.

Then after breakfast we headed to the pool!

Because the pool was cold, the weather was colder and the hot tub was just right we walked back and warmed up. These hot tub times were some of my favorite from the week. We'd just sit and talk about our favorite things, highs and lows from the week and really enjoyed family time together. The kids have said time and time again that family time is their favorite (over any toy or game or book) so I truly love these special moments together.

The rest of the morning was spent reading, playing card games and video games upstairs.
To balance out all those trips to the sweet shop we were sure to include lots of veggies during meals. Yum!

That afternoon we went back into the hot tub because....why not?!?
Even though it was rainy and we stayed inside for most of the day the kids were still exhausted at the end of the night. I think we all needed a lazy day!
Just to remember this fun house, here are some pics from each floor. The great room had a huge kitchen and island, long farmhouse table and big living room.

The 2nd level included the bunk bed room, a 2nd bedroom, bath and the master suite with a private balcony!
The views of the town are always so charming.

And the third floor was a big game room with a sitting area, board games and media room complete with a huge tv and video games (Carter's favorite!)

Another balcony off the 3rd floor too!
This town is just the best.
